A de-icing system prevents signal loss due to snow and ice build-up on the surface of the reflector. Add on heater – This De-Icing system can easily be installed in the field using a socket wrench and cordless drill. Removal of two lower reflector bolts is necessary to install the defrost panel. The Anti-Ice System is available for the Type 748, Type 982/988, Type 122, Type 123/125, Type 180/183 and Type 243 Antenna Systems. Each Anti-Icer is factory installed and pre-wired to the reflector and includes a feed horn heater kit. Each Anti-Icer comes with a 9m (30ft.) power cord plus mounting hardware and bracket for the sensor. The heater elements are protected by a durable ABS cover over the lower rear half of the reflector. The Anti-Icing System is available in 120V or 240V versions.
