DirecTV - Dish Network merger. We think they should use the name DishTV. Charlie owner of Dish Network said he would " keep the DirecTV name and Logo and use Echostar to manufacture the equipment.". Does this mean that all those equipment manufactures are out of the satellite industry ? What's to come of all the people that supported DirecTV ? ( Distributors, Venders, and Retailers ? )  These people might have made it more difficult  for Charlie's Dish Network to grow. Next level  Round up the bandwidth full spectrum . What I think we could see in the not to distant future is about 40 - 60 channels in HDTV because there will be no more double broadcasting of the channels. ( 2 Lifetimes, 2 TNN's, 2 of everything. 1 on DirecTV and 1 on Dish Network  Ext...). Whats to come of poor Tivo ?   REPLAY?  with the PVRpro doing leaps and bounds. and on with Telocity and DirectWay or Starband ..      @#$?  These are exciting time for the video industry. It's bundled high speed internet access and interactivity.
